About Us:

Growing out of a mid 1970′s wood stove business, Renewable Energy of Plum Hollow has become Eastern Ontario’s leader in sustainable energy and resource conservation technology. We are committed to helping you find practical ways to incorporate “appropriate technologies” into your life style. We are a retail store located in Kingston Ontario, Canada. We sell, install and service wood, pellet and gas appliances as well as alternative energy equipment. We pride ourselves on having W.E.T.T. certified installers and advisors on staff to provide you with sound advice and safe wood and pellet appliance installations.

We are Kingston and area’s oldest alternative energy company selling and installing product into customer’s homes including Solar Hot Water systems for your home and your pool; solar and wind electrical systems for your home, business, cottage or camp.

Our showroom features over 35 burning (pellet, wood and gas) stoves, fireplaces and inserts, and many more floor models. We have three different active solar systems in our showroom. A 2.0 kilowatt grid-tie solar array, a 1/2 kilowatt solar system charging the battery back-up for our store and a single panel Enerworks solar hot water system that was developed at Queens University and is made in Ontario. We also have a 2.9 kilowatt wind turbine that provides power for our showroom.

Renewable Energy’s customer relations philosophy is straight forward: Ask all the questions and tell the whole story about every product, pros and cons. We don’t exaggerate performance claims, paybacks or maintenance requirements. We make every effort to ensure that your expectations are met. To provide our best customer service, we sell, service and install our products in Eastern Ontario.
